ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE CURRICULUM
YOUTH ON ROOT’S
Check out our environmental justice educational curriculum created for California youth from frontline environmental justice communities. Our curriculum and toolkit of educational resources includes lessons, videos, discussion questions, and projects on environmental justice topics such as environmental justice fundamentals, movement history, intersectionality, activism, and community leadership and engagement.
By directly addressing the resource gaps for youth in environmental justice communities and providing access to youth-oriented and culturally responsive educational materials, our hope is to amplify the voices of California youth as environmental justice activists and movement leaders.

DIGITAL
Option A: If you are a frontline youth up to age 25, you can download our curriculum for free directly to your device! Frontline youth are defined as low-income youth and youth of color who live in communities disproportionately impacted by environmental harms.
Option B: If you are not a frontline youth - adult allies, community members, etc. - we welcome you to pay for a copy to ensure that our work remains sustainable and accessible to all. We have a sliding scale option. The cost of each lesson is $15, but to make it accessible, we have two sliding scale options (30% off and 60% off).
For the 30% off sliding scale option: use code: YOR30
For the 60% sliding scale option: use code: YOR60
The digital copies are not intended for mass distribution. For folks who would like to collaborate with us on a larger project or initiative, please reach out to curriculum@youthonroot.org
IN PRINT
Print copies will be available before our curriculum launch event on Nov. 13. Stay tuned for more information on how to order!
